An 8-part historical docu-series that traces the relationship of sexual purity, white supremacy, and Christian nationalism from the 19th century to the present. Divided in two, the first half of the series will focus on the origins of evangelical purity culture within first wave feminism, white racial identity formation, and US national identity. The second half of the series will focus on evangelical purity culture as it emerged in the late 20th century and the swift backlash it evoked.
